Princeton may vote on trash pickup rate hike tonight
The Princeton City Council may decide whether to increase the city's trash. The council discussed a possible rate hike in February and tabled the discussion last month at another meeting.
The rate right now is $6 and has been for the past 20 years.
Mayor Bob Hurst presented a report to the council recommending a rate increase to $16 per month.
Hurst says the sanitation fund lost $346,000 last year, which has been coming out of the general fund.
