Concerns remain over former meat packing plant | News
Gibson County commissioners have requested another letter be sent to the owner of the old Emge Packing Company property regarding his intentions on tearing down the building.
According to our media partner, the Princeton Daily Clarion, a county judge put a stop to metal scrapping at the plant after it caught fire twice and was the focus of an environmental protection agency cleanup.
Building owner David Mounts says he has plans to demolish the building.
The commissioners say they also plan to attend a special council meeting later this month in Fort Branch to discuss concerns neighbors have about the property.
