As the competition narrows for the 2011 Wendy’s High School Heisman Award program, 20 of Indiana’s top scholar-athletes were announced today as State Finalists for the prestigious award. These finalists are now in the running to become State Winners, the next phase of the program as applicants advance to become National Winners.

Gibson Southern student wins money, prizes in architectural design contest

Two students from the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation’s Southern Indiana Career and Technical Center – Dallas Kelly and Dillon Peach - joined thousands of students across the country as participants in the SkillsUSA Championships in Kansas City, Miss., late last month.

Kelly, a student at Tecumseh High School, placed second in the diesel contest and received prizes and scholarships worth up to $7,000.
