Nine-year-old west side resident Sydney Nicole Ritzert of Evansville Indiana has been chosen to receive a wish from the local nonprofit organization “Wish Upon A Star, Inc.”.  Sydney suffers from Cerebral Palsy and several other life threatening conditions which have left her with extremely limited mobility and verbal communication skills.

Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. and The Braun Corporation, the Indiana-based manufacturer of wheelchair accessible vans and wheelchair lifts, combined for a surprise wedding day donation of a brand new 2011 Toyota Sienna with a BraunAbility Rampvan XT conversion to Rachelle Friedman, who was paralyzed as a result of a tragic accident during her bachelorette party in May 2010.

David Morris enters his first season at the helm of the Lady Oaks soccer team after most recently coaching at Culver-Stockton College in 2009-10, compiling a record of 7-8-3 while leading the Wildcats to one of the best seasons in recent years.
