Waylon Schenk named head football coach at Princeton | Sports & Recreation
Title (Max 100 Characters)
Former Bosse High standout Waylon Schenk has been approved as head football coach at Princeton High. He was a teacher and offensive coordinator at Princeton since last year.
Schenk takes over Blair Hrovat, who resigned last month after two seasons as head coach. He played on Bosse’s 1995 sectional champions and later served as a Bulldogs' assistant under Andrew Weinzapfel.
He'll face a big task. Princeton hasn't won a varsity football game since August of 2009, a streak that reached 29 in a row last year.
All three Gibson County schools will have new coaches next season; Nick Hart at Gibson Southern, Joey Paridaen at Wood Memorial and Schenk at Princeton.
