INDOT closing CR 1150 E for I-69 work

The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced that beginning Friday, July 8, County Road 1150 East (C.R. 1150 E) in Gibson County will close permanently. 

C.R. 1150 E will be closed from the junction of County Road 50 N (C.R. 50 N) to the junction of County Road 150 N (C.R. 150 N) as construction of the new I-69 corridor continues.

Crews will begin work at approximately 7:00 a.m. local time, weather permitting. 

No through vehicle traffic will be allowed, however local residents will have access to the point of closure.

Drivers in Gibson Co. should be prepared to take alternate routes as a couple of county roads  close for repair and construction.

State Road 168 will be closed from S. R. 57 to U.S. 41. Crews will begin work at seven a.m. Tuesday on the I-69 and S. R. 168 interchange.

Work is anticipated to last through December. The official detour will follow S. R. 57, 68, and U.S.

The Toyota Sienna, made in Princeton, is ranked as the sixth "most American made" vehicle, according to Cars.com’s American Made Index.

The index ranks the cars that are the most “American-made,” based on the percentage of parts made domestically, where they are assembled, and how many are sold to U.S. buyers.

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is announcing that beginning Tuesday, July 5, State Road 168 (S.R. 168) in Gibson County will close.   

S.R. 168 will be closed from the junction of State Road 57 (S.R. 57) to the junction of U.S. 41. Crews will begin work at approximately 7:00 a.m. local time, and it is anticipated to re-open to traffic sometime in December, weather permitting. 

S.R. 168 will close to allow for construction of the new I-69 and S.R. 168 interchange.

County Road 875 East to close permanently

The Indiana Department of Transportation says County Road 875 East (C.R. 875 E) in Gibson County will close permanently on July 5.

C.R. 875 E will be closed from the junction of County Road 450 S (C.R. 450 S) to the junction of County Road 550 S (C.R. 550 S). Crews will begin work at approximately 7:00 a.m. local time, weather permitting. 

C.R. 875 E will close for construction of the new I-69 Corridor.

No through vehicle traffic will be allowed, however local residents will have access to the point of closure.

County Road 50 South to close in Gibson County

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is announcing that beginning Monday, June 20, County Road 50 South (C.R. 50 S) in Gibson County will close. 

C.R. 50 S will be closed from the junction of County Road 950 East (C.R. 950 E) to the junction of County Road 1050 East (C.R. 1050 E).

Crews will begin work at approximately 6:00 a.m. local time and it is anticipated to re-open to traffic once C.R.

Temporary or permanent fix for Brumfield Bridge?

County officials hired an engineering firm to check the stability of the Brumfield Bridge In Princeton.  Thousands travel the overpass on a daily basis.

When the bridge is closed for repairs, the mayor says it will be a headache for drivers because of the trains that come through on Broadway.

 "Things that concern me are the Labor Day parade," said Mayor Bob Hurst.  "We will have about 4,000 people here.
