Owensville radar site to be upgraded | Weather

The National Weather Service has released the scheduled dates for implementing the new Dual Polarization Doppler Radar upgrade in the Tri-State.

The upgrade to the Owensville radar, which serves most of the tri-state, will begin February 4, 2013. 

During the two week upgrade period, the radar will not be functional.  14 News will continue to utilize our two dopplers during this time.

Dual Pol is the biggest step forward in radar technology since doppler was introduced decades ago.
